Hi everyone, “The Beer Guy” here and I have some beer reviews for you!

    130517 0004

Try this seasonal from the Great Divide, Heyday. It’s a Belgian-Style White Ale. Very smooth & great for those nice sunny days!!!

    130517 0002
    Hop Head Red

For you “hop heads” try the “Hop Head Red” Red India Pale Ale. Has a nice hoppy flavor (they dry-hop the brew with bucket loads of Amarillo hops) but it’s still very smooth even for you non hop heads (like me). A very good beer!

    130517 0005
    Samuel Smith’s Organic Chocolate Stout

If you like chocolate (ladies), then you have to try Samuel Smith’s Organic Chocolate Stout. the gently roasted organic chocolate malt and organic cocoa impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavors and a delightful finish – this is the perfect marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate. This is a great after dinner beer and you may want to share a bottle with someone because it is a little rich….but very good!!!

    130517 0001
    Sierra Blanca Nut Brown

You might want to try Sierra Blanca Nut Brown Ale. This is from their website, “This Nut Brown is brewed with English Ale yeast. In English tradition, we use only English Fuggle hops, which are low in bitterness and produce a mild floral hop taste. The complexity of this Nut Brown is created mainly by the Chocolate and Dark Chocolate malted barley. There is a roasted coffee flavor with hints of chocolate and nutty or nutmeg finish on the back of the tongue.” This is a great beer. It’s becoming one of my “everyday” drinking beers.

    130517 0003
    Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale

I like a lot of beers from the Boulevard Brewery & this is no exception with the Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale. They classify the style as a Saison/Farmhouse Ale….I classify it as GOOD!!! This is a straw colored, light to medium bodied beer with an earthy, spicy, grapefruit aroma and flavor, a soft, sweet malt flavor and a prominent hop bitterness. Give it a try!!!

    Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Stout

Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Cream Stout! Don’t let the name fool ya cause this is a good beer. I love stouts & especially Oatmeal stouts & this is at the top of my list. From their website: –It has been described as: “a beer brownie”, “liquid espresso chocolate layer cake”, or “a dark chocolate milkshake with an espresso shot”.- I can agree with those descriptions. One of the best stouts I’ve ever had (and will continue to drink).

    McSorley’s Irish Black Lager

    By admin | February 18, 2010

Another new beer at Northside Liquor Store.

This is a very good beer. A dark black lager, but much lighter than other dark beers, such as a porter or stout.

A great beer for those that like a little darker beer, but not the heaviness of a dark beer.

Lost Coast Brewery – New Beers

    By admin | February 10, 2010

We have some new beers from the Lost Coast Brewery.

    Downtown Brown

A smooth, full-bodied nut brown ale, lightly hopped with a hint of roasted and crystal malts. This ale is dark in color without the heavy taste of a porter or stout.

    Alleycat Amber Ale

Full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

For more information about Lost Coast Brewery, check out there website:

My “beer guy” says both of these beers are EXECELLENT. Try them out for yourself.

    Guinness Anniversary Stout

    By admin | June 1, 2009

    guinness 250

Guinness is celebrating its 250th anniversary and doing it in style with a new beer, Guinness Anniversary Stout. The beer commemorates the date on which Arthur Guinness signed the lease on St. James’ Gate in Dublin: December 31, 1759. Guinness hasn’t come around to the craft beer scene yet but this one might appeal to craft drinkers.

Available in 6 packs while quantity lasts.
